My 4yo seems to be on the verge of another cold. I have quite literally lost count of how many that is since September. We have battled an immense amount of illness. I have touched on that topic in an earlier post. I won’t relist everything, just think everything from croup to the flu (twice!) Sigh.

This morning’s smoothie was filled with extra vitamin C and antioxidants. We could all use a little extra boost this weekend. IMG_0378

I used my Vitamix. Which if you do not have one, I highly recommend getting one. It has changed my life. CHANGED MY LIFE!

Full disclosure, I do not always exactly measure my smoothie ingredients. They are always yummy though! I have a knack for smoothie making. I also make my portions large enough for 3 people. I have a glass. Jackson has a glass. My husband has a glass.

In this smoothie

  • 2 medium oranges
  • 1 large blood orange
  • Pineapple. I used a generous amount.
  • Blueberries. Almost a whole pint.
  • 1 very large carrot
  • Ice, as much as I could fit

I throw it all in the Vitamix and set it on the smoothie setting. Voila! That easy and simple. A delicious start to the day for 3 people.
